The airport is 6km out. Bus 3G or the shuttle train reach the centre in about 15 minutes.

Uzupis across the river declared itself a republic in 1997. Its constitution is on the wall in 20 languages.

The funicular to Gediminas Tower saves a steep climb and runs from the cathedral side of the hill.

The path up is steep and slippery when wet. The funicular from the cathedral side costs a couple of euros and saves the climb.
